So I had a friend suggest to me that all this ‘What’s so right’ and ‘what you focus on grows’ stuff was not real. That it doesn’t work. Their thoughts were that just thinking ‘happy’ thoughts was naive and that life could not possibly change by just being positive. And you know what, they are right. Because in life, shit happens. It will always happen. And there is not really any way of stopping it from happening. We cannot control the uncontrollable. And the thing that I know for sure about life, is that it is 100% uncontrollable. Sorry to all the control freaks out there (I use to be one of them) but this is the first step. Accepting this.
So how does this ‘what’s so right’ stuff work? Ok, so focusing on ‘what’s so right’ in your life does not and will not stop shit from happening. I am not at all suggesting that we skip through life, smelling wild flowers, looking at the world through rose coloured glasses, singing Kumbaya and chanting ohm!
